Spain Leads Rise in EU Vehicle Registrations to June

Car, DealersAccording to the latest information provided by the Association of European Automobile Manufacturers (Acea), a total of 1,364,009 vehicles were registered in the EU up until June, which represents an increase of 14.6%, continuing the upward trend which began 22 months ago, and is also the largest monthly increase registered since December 2009.

El Economista reported that the major markets aided the global expansion significantly, with double-digit growth being registered in Spain (23.5%), France (15.0%), Italy (14.4%), Germany (12.9%) and the United Kingdom (12.9%).

Over the whole of the first six months of the year the major markets also recorded increases, the greatest being those registered for Spain (22%); Italy (15.2%); the United Kingdom (7%); France (6.1%), and Germany (5.2%).
